Halkett Lodge , founded by Robbert & Scott, offers a peaceful place to stay with a Rural outlook, in West Melton on the Central Canterbury Plains , between Christchurch City and the Great Southern alps. The Lodge ,is just a short country drive from Christchurch city, Halkett lodge is set on thirty acres the property is a relaxed and character filled property that boasts a boutique vineyard and is home to some farm yard animals and pets.
	Halkett lodge in the Selwyn District has lots to offer such as: -Vineyards -Art Galleries -Outdoors to the nearby Waimakariri River and the McLean's Island reserve activities.

Your hosts- Robbert and Scott Robbert enjoys the outdoors and many outdoor sports and activities and has a keen interest in his grapes and hopes to produce his own wine in time . Scott also enjoys the out doors especially walks and short tramps as well as a keen interest in art and a bit of a foodie, Scott has worked in the service industry for many years and enjoys meeting new people.
